One of the most iconic sites of the African grasslands, the ostrich is the world’s largest flightless bird and is often seen in family groups where they even share nursery duties.
This picture shows the alertness of these magnificent beasts that are always on the lookout for danger and if spooked they can achieve speeds in excess of 40 miles per hour when taking evasive action.
