The Malay word orangutan means "person of the forest." These long-haired, orangish primates, found only in Sumatra and Borneo, are highly intelligent and are close relatives of humans. Orang-utans are one of the most loved animals in the world and it’s not hard to see why when you observe the human like traits they have.

They have an intelligence which enables captive Orang-utans to mimic tasks being carried out by their human counterparts voluntarily and Richard likes to think that this drawing shows that “anything you can do” cheek in the subjects expression.
